Soprano Susan Elizabeth Brown has been evolving as an artist in the National Capital Region since 2015, where she appeared in such roles as Mimi (La Boheme), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Gilda (Rigoletto), Sophie (Der Rosenkavalier), and La Princesse (L’enfant et les sortileges). She appeared as Donna Anna (Don Giovanni) with Jeunesses Musicales Canada in the Festival d’opera de Quebec, and in their 2017/2018 Canadian tour. Her performance in Don Giovanni with SOLO will be her first in the role of Donna Elvira. She is an alumnus of the National Arts Centre Young Artist Program, participating in both 2017 and 2018. Internationally, she has performed in concert at the Royal Glasgow Concert Hall and Waterfront Hall in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Highlights of her concert work include Carmina Burana (Orff), Stabat Mater (Pergolesi), Psalm 112: Laudate Dominum (Handel), Messiah (Handel), Stabat Mater (Rossini), Mass in C Minor (Mozart), Requiem (Faure), Gloria (Vivaldi) and the world premiere of Clarence Lucas’s Dies Irae. She is newly based in Montreal.
