Soprano Julie Ludwig is delighted to join SOLO this season as Zerlina in Don Giovanni. Select opera credits include Musetta (La Bohème) with the Windsor Symphony, Amalia in Abigail Richardson’s The Perfect Screw with the Hamilton Philharmonic, Adele (Die Fledermaus) with Opera 5, Emmie (Albert Herring) at the Aldeburgh Music Festival, and Despina (Così fan tutte) with Jeunesses Musicales Canada. As a member of Calgary Opera’s Emerging Artist Program, Julie appeared as Lucia in The Rape of Lucretia and Gretel in an English adaptation of Hansel and Gretel. An alumna of the Britten-Pears Young Artist Programme, she has performed at the Banff Centre, the Halifax Summer Opera Festival, and has given recitals in Ontario, Manitoba, and British Columbia.
