Praised for his “rich vocals and dynamic palette” (Holly Harris, Opera Canada, Fall 2019) Manitoban tenor Adam Sperry has had the privilege of performing with many companies across Canada. Recent highlights include: Hades in Gow and Remoto’s The Mansplaining Division with Manitoba Underground Opera, tenor soloist in Carmina Burana with Ottawa Choral Workshops, Peter Quint in Britten’s The Turn of the Screw with Opera McGill, Sam Kaplan in Weill’s Street Scene with Opera McGill, Don Ottavio in Southern Ontario Lyric Opera’s production of Don Giovanni, and the tenor soloist in Carmina Burana with the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra. Upcoming performances include: Jay Gatsby in the world premiere of Andrew Ager’s The Great Gatsby with New Opera Lyra, and tenor soloist in Haydn’s Lord Nelson Mass with the Cantata Singers of Ottawa and Ottawa Baroque Consort. Adam is thrilled to join Southern Ontario Lyric Opera again in their production of Georges Bizet’s Carmen.
