Anthony Bellissimo

Anthony Bellissimo, a bassist from Buffalo, NY, has been with Vetere Studio International for 14 years. During this time, his voice has developed into a rich, full bass across its range.

Before joining the Vetere studio, he shifted from opera to musical theatre and took a long break from singing due to a demanding work schedule. He studied voice performance at SUNY Buffalo in the 1970s and, 25 years later, earned a BA in Communicative Disorders and Sciences.

He has performed with various Buffalo theater groups, taking on roles such as The Poet in Kismet and The Butcher in Musicfare’s Fiddler on the Roof. He has also participated in the ensemble of several other musical productions, including “1776” at the Kavinoky Theater. He performed as Colline in a La Boheme with the Vetere studio and Silvano in the production of Un Ballo Maschera in Buffalo Opera Unlimited.

Anthony is honoured to sing with his mentor, Dr. Maria Vetere, performing Tosca.
