Hailed by critics as a “powerful mezzo” and “sensory epiphany”, Canadian opera singer Cassandra Warner has garnered international acclaim. With a diverse array of performing experience in opera, concert, international competition and specialty events, she has appeared with such high profle companies as Opera Atelier of Toronto, Vancouver Opera, Calgary Opera, and Opera Toulon of France. She has performed such roles as Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Second Lady in The Magic Flute, Rose Maurrant in Street Scene, Maddalena in Rigoletto, The Saloon Singer in The Inventor, Carmen in La Tragedie de Carmen and the title role of Cendrillon in the Glenn Gould School’s Cendrillon at Koerner Hall.
In concert, Miss Warner has performed with Saskatoon Symphony Orchestra, Calgary Civic Symphony, Mississauga Symphony, The Royal Conservatory of Music Orchestra, TafelMusik Orchestra, Milton Philharmonic Orchestra, Cambridge Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Orpheus Choir, Peterborough Singers and recently was special guest soloist with the prestigious boy’s choir of Regensberg, Germany, representing Calgary Opera on an opera cruise of the Danube river in Europe.
Cassandra has achieved great success at international opera competitions, winning third place at the Chants de Marmande of France and frst Place at the Canadian MET Opera Competition.
Cassandra has been featured by The Toronto Star, CBC Television, CBC Radio, Classical 96.3
FM Radio, and Money Sense Magazine. She has been a special guest artist for such respected associations as The Arts and Letters Club of Toronto, the Stratford Festival Soiree Series, the Royal Conservatory of Music and has been the featured artist for such high profle events as Mindham Fine Jewellery ‘s Chanel Verdura launch in Toronto where Cassandra was model and performer.
Recently, Cassandra performed with Pellegrini opera in Ottawa as Maddalena in Rigoletto, as Second Lady in the Magic Flute with Confdential Opera Project and performed in concert with pianist Ron Greidanus of the Georgetown Bach Chorale for Georgetown’s Helson Gallery Music Series. This fall, Cassandra will be performing the role of Flora in La Traviata with Burlington’s new Opera Company, SOLO. In December, she will be appearing again with Cambridge Symphony Orchestra and will be appearing in Milton Philharmonic Orchestra’s Voices of Milton Concert next 2017. Cassandra also runs a successful private Music Studio in Toronto.
